Three-Roll Mills by KRS
Three-roll mills are used where products are too viscous for a bead mill and where a controlled, very uniform dispersion is required, such as paste inks and other high-viscosity formulations.
Each machine is configured to the product, the required fineness and the batch sizes involved.

HOW IT WORKS
The working principle
Feed
The paste is fed between the first two rolls, which rotate in opposite directions at different speeds.
Shear in the gaps
High shear in the narrow gaps between the rolls disperses and refines the product.
Take-off
A scraper blade takes the finished product off the last roll. The gap setting determines the fineness.
