As a high speed disperser manufacturer, KRS configures each industrial disperser for the vessel, batch size and product you work with, and supplies it with its own control panel.

PRODUCTS – HIGH SPEED DISPERSERS
High Speed Disperser Manufacturer in India
KRS DISPERMAHLTECHNIK designs and manufactures high speed dispersers in Coimbatore for wetting, pre-dispersing and mixing powders and pigments into paints, inks, coatings and chemical formulations.
OVERVIEW
What is a high speed disperser?
A high speed disperser is the standard machine for bringing solids into a liquid: pigments and fillers into paint, ink or coating bases, and powders into chemical formulations. In paint production it is the paint dispersion machine for the first dispersion stage, before the product goes on to a bead mill for fine grinding – or as the complete process where no further grinding is needed.
HOW IT WORKS
How a high speed disperser works
Vortex
A toothed disperser disc on a vertical shaft rotates at high speed inside the vessel and draws the product down into a vortex.
Shear
Intense shear at the edge of the disc breaks up agglomerates and wets the solids.
Distribution
The circulating flow distributes the solids evenly through the batch.
CONSTRUCTION
Machine construction and key features
A KRS high speed disperser is built around a drive head carried on a fabricated steel column. The motor drives a vertical shaft with a toothed disperser disc at its end, and the head moves up and down on the column to lower the disc into the vessel and lift it out for cleaning and vessel change. A clamping arm holds the vessel in place, and a control panel at the machine controls the drive.

What is a high speed disperser?
A machine with a toothed disc on a fast-rotating vertical shaft that wets, deagglomerates and distributes powders and pigments in a liquid. It is the standard pre-dispersion machine in paint, ink, coating and chemical production.
What is a high speed disperser used for?
For mixing and dispersing solids into liquids: pigments and fillers into paint and coating bases, pigments into inks, and powders into chemical formulations and adhesives.
How does a high speed disperser work?
The rotating disc creates a vortex that pulls the product down onto the disc. High shear at the edge of the teeth breaks up agglomerates, and the circulating flow distributes the solids through the batch.
Is a high speed disperser enough, or do I also need a bead mill?
That depends on the fineness you need. A disperser wets and pre-disperses; where a finer, more uniform particle size is required, the pre-dispersed product goes on to a high energy bead mill.
How do I select a high speed disperser?
The main factors are batch volume and vessel size, the viscosity and solids content of the product, the required dispersion result and the operating environment of your plant. KRS configures the machine around these points.
What information is required for a disperser quotation?
Your product and application, viscosity and solids content, batch size and vessel dimensions, the target dispersion result and any requirements of the operating environment.
Where is KRS located?
KRS DISPERMAHLTECHNIK is based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. Enquiries from India and abroad are welcome.
